The Peterson Report #3

posted Jan 14, 2012, 5:09 PM by Web Master
The 5th day of racing dawned a cold 8 C, with a 10 knot breeze from the north.  Local superstition has it that this kind of weather comes from Canada.  By race time at 1030 the temperature had risen to 10 C.  On the fleet's first pass through the gate I was disappointed to see Paul Tingley well back.  The Norwegian boat was ahead with the French and Dutch boats not far behind and that was how they finished.  Only one race today, with one more scheduled tomorrow.  You will have to check the website for tomorrows results.  Mary and I arrive in Calgary Sunday afternoon to visit the grandchildren and hopefully some of you for the next 3 weeks.

Norway has passed through the gate the 2nd time and headed for the finish, France and 2 Dutch
boats close behind about ready to round the gate mark.  Paul Tingley well back, CAN99
