Thanks to all the volunteers putting in loads of work leading up to and including the weekend, another successful event was hosted by members of the Newell Sailing Club.  More than a dozen entries were from Newell Sailing Club's membership with a strong contingent of Seasprays, a Sol Cat and a couple of lasers.  The weather was warm and co-operated enough to provide just enough wind to keep boats moving along, sometimes nicely and sometimes at a crawl but no races were abandoned due to the wind completely going away.  The club's equipment operated by the on the water contingent worked well and the food volunteers did another outstanding job.  We can't thank our volunteers enough for all that they do.   I am sure that our club will continue to make improvements to things like boat launching, grounds enhancements and modifications to drainage for the purposes of completely utilizing our facility for the benefit of our membership and to facilitate hosting these large events.
