Sailing in Florida

A couple of NSC members enjoyed a bit of sailing in Florida recently.  Gord and Mary Peterson have a home in Punta Gorda and enjoy sailing their Seaward 33 in Charlotte Harbor.  Don and Sharon Snell recently visited and sailed with the Petersons
on Charlotte Harbor.  Winds were gusty and hit over 20 knots on occasion so the sailing was lively and fast.  Passing under bridges with sometimes a foot to spare can be a little exciting as well.  Don windsurfed in Florida a few times as well.  Visiting Florida during the late fall or winter is a great way to extend the sailing season.
