New Years Day Social

Twenty people were in attendance for a lovely weather day at the club.  The hall was a warm and cozy place to be this day.  I, unfortunately did not take any pictures.  The ice was not cleared for pond hockey due to the crusty snow cover that stuck to the ice surface making it too difficult to clear the snow off the ice.  Cross country track sets were in place and the mild weather, no wind sunny day made for very pleasant cross country skiing.  Lots of gaming, visiting and eating of xmas leftover treats took place over the afternoon.  Once again the new windows in the hall made a real difference in how warm the hall got with the door sometimes getting left open to keep it cool enough inside.  No frost see through windows are a real plus!  A short exec meeting was held after the excellent potluck dinner.  Things wound up sometime after 8 pm

Although it seems a long time till sailing season some planned activities may get the Byte sailboats in a more ready to sail state for the upcoming season.  Boat parking issues will continue to be worked on and a gate at the south end of the old roadway will facilitate getting boats into and out of the second row of stalls.  If you have a boat at the club over the winter or rent a locker your dues are due by March 31st.  There are changes to the membership form  so all members must fill out and email or send a copy along with payment.
