Kieran Mills, Dave Mills, Hamish Ferguson, Mike Sonnie and Don Snell attended the Seaspray Catamaran North Americans Sept 11, 12, 13 in Osoyoos, BC.  It was Kieran's first Seaspray event and Kieran sailed very well.  This was a lighter wind regatta with 7 races sailed and 12 Seasprays entered.  Don Snell won the event with  four first place finishes.   Newell Sailing Club has many Seaspray owners and has over the years hosted the Seaspray Canadian Nationals and Seaspray North Americans.  The Seaspray is a good choice for new sailors as it is a forgiving and easy to handle sailboat.  There usually is a number of good used Seasprays that have been 'reworked' for competition.  These improved boats are still within the class rules governing competition Seasprays.  If you are interested in getting a Seaspray check out the website canadianseapray.com for more information or talk to one of the Newell Sailing Club's members who sail or race this great little catamaran.
