Beach and Berm work has begun

Work has started on building a berm or dam to stop water from entering the club grounds.  Since the EID policy is to keep the lake as full as possible, waves and storms has caused flooding on numerous occasions over this season.  The plan is to elevate the ground level enough to stop waves washing onto the club property.  With the fall season nearly here and the prime sailing season behind us there is time to complete a comprehensive landscaping project to ensure no further damage will occur.  Gravel and road crush will help to maintain the roadway and grass seed will be planted once the dirt has been levelled.  Possible groin development will hopefully prevent sand and small gravel from washing down the shore line.  It is still possible to launch your sailboat further South along the shore line.
