This years Prairie Wind Regatta featured 49 boats registered, all were given good wind and two very nice sailing days.  Saturday morning winds shifted throughout the morning.  a windward leeward course was set for the afternoon.  Wind speed built up and many of the boats had all they could handle.  Saturday night featured one of NSC famous roast beef dinners with all the trappings.  Sunday was again a great day for sailing with lighter wind and sunny skies.  The Alberta Winds Optimist League held its first competitive races this weekend with kids representing the three Southern Alberta Clubs.  Ten kids competed for the two days and ran a number of entertaining races for those on shore who were watching.  Five of the ten Opti sailors were from NSC.
